We were extremely honored to host multi-world champion Professor Romulo Barral at the grand opening of our new Gracie Barra Alabama headquarters on June 5, 2021! With one of the best jiu-jitsu practitioners in the world, and 139 eager students on the mats, we consider this event to be a huge success! Professor Romulo demonstrated his famous knee cut pass with precision, grace, and just the right amount of humor. His attitude and demeanor were both humble and noble, and his ability to relate to competitive black belts all the way down to the newest of white belts, made him an ideal teacher. Thank you Professor Romulo for your time and willingness to impart even a little bit of your wisdom to the students here at Gracie Barra Alabama! We do not take it for granted! We'd also like to take a moment to congratulate all of the students that received belt promotions on this day! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication, and are honored to be able to support you as you continue your jiu-jitsu journey.
